Palio del Recioto e dell’Amarone – 72nd Edition
A historic wine and folk festival dedicated to Valpolicella’s two most iconic wines: Recioto and Amarone.
Tastings, culture, music, tradition, and street performances fill the village with a unique and vibrant atmosphere.
Local wineries compete passionately for the title of Best Recioto, each striving to reach the podium.

When & Where
During Easter weekend, from 4 to 7 April 2026, in the center of Negrar di Valpolicella, mainly along Viale Giuseppe Mazzini and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
- Saturday, 4 April: 3:30 pm – 11:00 pm
- Sunday & Monday: 10:00 am – 11:00 pm
- Tuesday: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
How the event works
Visitors can stroll among the winery stands and, through the purchase of a tasting ticket or booklet, enjoy:
- Recioto of the current vintage
- All Valpolicella DOC and DOCG wines
Food stands offering Veronese and Valpolicella specialties will also be present.
Tasting glass and wine holder can be purchased at the stands.
Live music, shows, exhibitions, and folk moments will accompany the tastings.
✨ The most anticipated moment:
the Blessing of the Recioto in the main square on Easter Monday, followed by the award ceremony for the winery producing the Best Recioto.
🚴 Side Event
Tuesday, 7 April – Gran Premio Palio del Recioto (Under 23 cycling race).
Each year the route changes, challenging riders with the unique landscape of Valpolicella. Wineries remain open, though traffic will be limited during the race.
